Dior Summer 2016 Collection Preview - Milky Dots

Last week the Dior counter in Debenhams, Cardiff hosted a bloggers event for their new Summer collection. I love these events as they are a great way to check out the new collections, unfortunately I couldn't make the event so I was kindly invited back to have a one to one makeover at the counter so I could check out all of the new stuff.

My makeover was yesterday and was done by Ant, who always does such a fantastic job at applying makeup. When I arrived at the counter the first thing that caught my eye was the amazing new collection for summer. It's called Milky Dots and has products in colors perfect for summer. I love blues and this collection has plenty of them. It's also polka dot themed too which I think looks great.

A vibrant collection featuring confetti-strewn nails, palettes of azure, beige, bronze and melon eyeshadows, and lips kissed with delicious, milky colour like an invitation to dive into a fantasy-filled world.

I was eager to try out all of the new products, my personal favorite being the blue eyeshadow quad. Out of the two palettes, I liked that one best and I'm especially loving the visuals for this collection. 

Ant did a wonderful look for summer on me using the palette I liked. I especially liked the blue eyeliner on my bottom lash line, using the blue eyeshadow in the palette. For my foundation, Airflash foundation was used. This is a new product for me as I haven't tried it before. At the moment I'm using Forever, which is one of my favorite foundations ever. I did like the glow that Airflash gave my skin.

Milky Dots has to be one of my favorite summer collections I've seen this year. Summer is always a great time for makeup as bright blues and greens start to appear along with a nice glow from the sun.

Bain De Mer was the eyeshadow I liked and it was the one I took away with me. I really like the other palette too and might just get that one too.

I really enjoyed my makeover and checking out all of the new products from the collection. I also got a really awesome goody bag too along with this really snazzy wristband. I think it's fantastic to have these one to one sessions for us bloggers who couldn't make the actual event. Thanks Ant.
